Financial Information and Assistance
Iron City Psychiatry is a fee-for-service practice, and the costs for each of our appointments and services are listed below. We are not in-network with any insurance providers at this time and cannot accept patients with Medicare; however, many insurance providers may still reimburse you for our services as an out-of-network provider. We also work with our patients to provide opportunities for financial assistance and other options to ensure access to the psychiatric treatment you need.
Financial Information and Fees for Services
Initial consultation for new patients
This first 80-minute in-person visit will be spent going over your goals for treatment, reviewing your psychiatric history, discussing your diagnosis, and analyzing potential treatment plans.

Follow-Up Appointments
$240
During the acute phase of treatment, monthly 40-minute follow-up visits are recommended. For stable patients, follow-ups are recommended every 3 months. For patients who have been stable longer than 1 year, follow-ups are recommended every 6 months.
Letters and Official Forms
1/2 normal hourly rate; $180 an hour
Insurance Reimbursement as an Out-of-Network Provider
Our office does not currently accept insurance of any kind, but some insurance plans may provide you with partial reimbursement for treatment with us as an out-of-network provider. Reimbursify is a great free app (available on smartphones and computers) that can help you submit out-of-network claims to your insurance company.
Due to Medicare regulations, we are unable to see any patients with Medicare.
Financial Assistance for Psychiatric Treatment
While we have chosen to opt out of insurance, we do not want the cost of care to prevent patients from receiving the treatment they need. If you have a family income of less than $90,000 a year, please fill out the application below. Once we review your application and you have been approved for financial assistance, you will be sent instructions on how to book a discounted appointment through our patient portal.
